Stockholm and Rotterdam Conventions

REQUEST FOR INFORMATION ON CHEMICALS RECOMMENDED TO BE LISTED AT THE 10TH CONFERENCE OF THE PARTIES (COP 10) TO THE STOCKHOLM, AND ROTTERDAM CONVENTIONS

The Department of Forestry, Fisheries and the Environment requested information on chemicals to be recommended for listing at the 10th Conference of the Parties (COP 10) under the Stockholm, and Rotterdam Conventions. Any company which manufactures, uses, sells, imports or exports, and/or is in possession of chemicals, indicated in the schedule to the notice, which are to be recommended for listing at the Stockholm and Rotterdam Conventions, are invited to submit all the information requested in the schedule to the Department of Forestry, Fisheries and the Environment within the 30 days of publication of the notice in the Gazette. Animal Diseases Act 35 of 1984

CONTROL MEASURES RELATING TO FOOT AND MOUTH DISEASE IN CERTAIN AREAS

The Minister of Agriculture, Land Reform and Rural Development repealed the control measures relating to foot and mouth disease in certain areas as prescribed in Government Notice No R. 76 of 1 February 2019, No. R. 569 of 30 June 2021 and No. R. 827 of 7 September 2021; and prescribed the control measures set out in the schedule of the published notice.
