The Panel of Experts, appointed under section 3A of the National Environmental Management Act, 1998 to lead a review of the scientific basis for the breach of the mouth of lake St. Lucia estuary, invited members of the public to submit for consideration, written submissions, scientific information, socio-economic information, or any other relevant information on matters related to the management of Lake St Lucia estuary. National Heritage Resources Act 25 of 1999

REGULATIONS IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PROVISIONS OF SECTION 9 OF THE NATIONAL HERITAGE RESOURCES ACT, NO 25 OF 1999

Regulations in accordance with the provisions of section 9 of the National Heritage Resources Act, No. 25 of 1999 (“NHRA”) that replaces the previous Regulations, No. 40691 of 17 March 2017, in terms of section 9(3)(a) of the NHRA, were published for public comments. The main objective of these Regulations is to provide standards for conservation and maintenance of heritage resources that are in the control of all branches of the State and state supported bodies. This notice on the updated/amended section 9 Regulations is for public comment from all interested and affected parties. The commenting period commenced when the notice was published, until 18 February 2022.
