Implex conducts Safety, Health, and Environmental Legal Compliance Audits. We determine the time spent on-site by assessing the size and complexity of the operations after discussing them with the client.

Each audit includes an administrative component (reviewing appointments, records, documents, permits, licenses, authorisations, exemptions, policies, procedures, contractor agreements, and other related documents) and a physical audit. We allocate report writing time on a 1:1 basis – one day of report writing for each day on-site.

Implex provides comprehensive safety, health, and environmental legal compliance solutions through legal compliance audits, including those conducted for legal register clients with service level agreements. These audits are classified as first-party internal audits.

We define an auditor as a person qualified to conduct an audit, with competence demonstrated by their ability to apply knowledge and skills effectively. For our legal compliance audits, the Implex team includes competent and qualified auditors, whose qualifications are supported by their curriculum vitae.

Auditor independence ensures the impartiality and objectivity of audit conclusions.

Our auditors remain free from bias and conflicts of interest. Implex operates as an independent legal compliance consultancy.

Neither Implex nor its staff hold any interests in client operations that could compromise their impartiality. We receive no benefits from audit projects other than standard consulting fees.

Throughout the audit process, auditors maintain objectivity, basing their findings and conclusions solely on the evidence.

Evidence forms the foundation for reaching reliable and reproducible audit conclusions through a systematic process. Audit evidence, gathered from samples of available information, is verifiable.

Because audits are conducted within finite time and resource limits, the confidence placed in audit conclusions closely relates to the appropriate use of sampling.

The audit scope confirms compliance with these requirements. To document the requirements considered, Implex prepares a legal work document that records observations and findings.

This document incorporates audit criteria and references all relevant laws affecting a client’s activities, products, or services.

Audit reports primarily focus on identifying and reporting deviations from the law. Where relevant, we also include general observations. Reports do not solely highlight omissions and non-conformances; auditors identify and verify compliance with applicable national, provincial, and local legislation to determine the client’s actual compliance status.

We gather compliance information from interviews with staff, documents provided, and visual observations. The on-site evaluation distinguishes between questions resolved through documents and interviews and those requiring physical observation of current conditions.

Findings in the reports reflect observations and samples from the audit. Other similar findings may exist in unvisited areas, as well as different types of discrepancies.

Additionally, we have developed customised system applications, such as a self-assessment tool, construction kit, and legal compliance management frameworks, as part of our consulting services.
